About Me

I am a recent graduate of Loras College, having earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a Minor in Mathematics in spring 2023. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in various aspects of computer science and related fields. During my time at Loras College, I had the opportunity to delve into a wide range of courses, including:

These courses have provided me with a well-rounded education, covering essential topics in computer science and information technology. I've developed a strong foundation in data analysis, web programming, machine learning, and more, which has prepared me for the challenges and opportunities in the ever-evolving tech industry.
One of the highlights of my academic journey was our two-semester Capstone project, located below under the 'College Projects' section. In this project, I had the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills I gained throughout my coursework to tackle a real-world problem.

During my last year at Loras College I had the opportunity to intern at the City of Dubuque as an Information Services Intern. In this role, I worked with the IT team to provide tier 1 & 2 technical support to over 600+ city employees. I also assisted in the deployment of new hardware and software, as well as the maintenance of existing hardware and software. This experience has allowed me to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of information technology and has further solidified my passion for technology and innovation.

Outside of my academic pursuits, I was actively involved in wrestling and achieved the honor of becoming a 2-time NCAA D3 All-American. This experience have not only enriched my personal growth but also allowed me to apply my knowledge in practical settings.

Now that I have graduated, I am excited to embark on the next chapter of my journey, where I aim to leverage my education and experiences to make meaningful contributions in the field of computer science. I am open to new opportunities and challenges and look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals and organizations who share a passion for technology and innovation.

Book Store Webpage

MERN Stack, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Postman, Github, VS Code

A full-stack web application that allows users to view, add, edit, and delete books. I used the MERN stack to create the application. I used Vite to create the React app, Tailwind CSS for styling, and Postman to test the API. I used Github to host the code and Netlify to deploy the webpage.

A fan page my group and I created during the 'Front-End Web Development' course. I was in charge of the footer section which has a carousel style testimonial section, application section, clickable social media icons with working links, and email input with verification. We then deployed the webpage using vercel.com to view our final product.

Wrincle App

React Native, Expo Go, Visual Studio Code, GitHub

My group and I created a mobile app that collects match information and converts it into a CSV file for website upload. We used React Native to develop the app, Expo Go as the mobile app development tool, Visual Studio Code as the integrated development environment (IDE), and GitHub as the version control system. Our wrestling app simplified match data collection for teams by providing a user-friendly interface for inputting wrestler names, weights, and match events and outcomes. It ensured accurate and structured data for website upload, enabled teams to make more informed decisions, track performance, and improve overall outcomes.

Machine Learning Project

Python, Excel, Spyder

My group and I utilized a real-world dataset and the K-NN, Naïve Bayes, Perceptron, and Decision Tree algorithms to make predictions based on our data. We investigated which algorithm was the best by comparing the correctness percentages of each algorithm we used.

Computer Graphics Project

HTML, JavaScript, WebGL, OpenGL, MobaXTerm, VS Code

In this program my partner and I created a 3D scene using WebGL and OpenGL. We used MobaXTerm to connect to our school's server and used the command line to compile and run our program. We then used HTML and JavaScript to create a webpage that would display our 3D scene.

Baseball Player Program

C++, Visual Studios 2019

This program keeps track of the information of up to nine baseball players, sorted alphabetically by name and then prints the players sorted by slugging percentage from highest to lowest.
